A bike mad Maxonian has cycled from Macclesfield to Belgium.

Charitable cyclist Carl Sayer pedalled from Macclesfield to Hull, before catching a ferry to the Netherlands.

He then biked to the south of Belgium, before turning back, returning eight days later.

Carl did this to raise money for the Macclesfield charity Space4Autism.

Carl has an autistic child, so knows full well the support the Mill Lane charity offers Macclesfield residents and those from further afar.

Carl set himself a target of £1000 to fundraise for Space4Autism.

And like how he smashed the athletic feat, Carl also smashed his fundraising goal by raising £1442.

The Macclesfield dad cycled 621.37 miles.
