A 21 year old man from Macclesfield has climbed to the summit of Snowdon a whopping six times in the space of 24 hours.
Nate Wattis, a maths and physics tutor, achieved this amazing feat on Thursday June 29, starting at midnight and completing the final summit 23 hours later at 11pm.
The Macclesfield resident did it to raise over £650 (so far) for charity.
Nate used the 11 km PyG track from the Pen-y-Pass starting point for all six ascents, a walk that should usually take around six hours, there and back, to complete. Nate managed to complete each summit attempt in three - four hours on average which is even more incredible when you consider that at least 2 attempts were done by torch light.
Nate was accompanied by a friend for the first three summits before completing the final three on his own.
Upon completing the six summits, Nate said 'that he was overjoyed to have completed the challenge with time to spare, even if he was a little bit broken!'
The former Tytherington School pupil has seen over 23 people donate to his charity crowdfunder.
All the money raise from this incredible endeavour will go towards supporting the work of the Men's Mental Health charity 'MANUP?'.
