Macclesfield: Mill Street attacker to appear in court at the end of the month

Justice for a man injured with a shard of glass may be served this month, as his possible attacker heads to Crown Court this month.

At 6.45am on Tuesday 28 December Cheshire Police received a report of an injured man in Mill Street, Macclesfield.

The unnamed 35-year-old man had injuries from being assaulted with a shard of glass at an address in Mill Street. He was taken to hospital to be treated.

As part of the investigation into the assault, two men from Macclesfield aged 53 and 48 were arrested along with a 38-year-old woman also from Macclesfield on 28 December - they were later released under investigation.

On 29 December, a 29-year-old man was arrested and later charged with Section 18 wounding.

Joshua Wyatt, 29, of no fixed address was remanded in custody at North Cheshire Magistrates on 30 December to appear at a Crown Court on 28 January 2022.
