There's another empty shop filled in on Chestergate, as Loola Loves opens their doors today.

The independent gift shop is opening at 5pm on Friday October 7.

Attendees will receive prosecco and a 10% discount on any gifts they buy.

The move comes just four months after she turned her pop-up market stall business into a permanent fixture in Macclesfield Indoor Market.

Loola Loves owner Louise Bullock sells cards, jewellery, toys, art, books, and more in her finely curated stall.

Louise explained how her move to 67 Chestergate came about.

"It was always the plan to move to the high street and I always wanted to come to Chestergate", she said.

"The guys from Deja Vu antique shop [three doors down from Louise] told me about the opportunity and I snapped it up within minutes.

The launch event will last from 5pm until 8pm, with discounts on all products. If you can't make it, the store will open at 10am on Saturday. (Image - Alexander Greensmith / Macclesfield Nub News)

"It is the perfect size and balance of risk versus opportunity. It has a beautiful shop window and a lovely big bright space.

"I have always wanted to be on Chestergate, ever since I started my business six years ago doing pop-ups in The Monocle café, which is now just across the road from me.

"I have more flexibility in this store with opening times. We will be open 10am to 4pm Wednesday to Sunday.

"On the run up to Christmas, I will be able to do late night openings. Perfect for finding a unique gift for your loved one."

"The Indoor Market opportunity was wonderful, it allowed me to trial whether it would work on the high street and help me realise the layout for when I moved here."

"I'm so delighted to be a part of this community. There are so many new businesses coming up in town, it is a really exciting time to be a part of. It is always something I knew would happen.

"I am a strong believer in Macclesfield town centre as a place to be, especially as I live in the centre as well.

"Now is the time to embrace the high street. Now is the time to support your small independents, now that the bigger chains have closed. Now is the time to make the most of it, or it could be gone.
