Macclesfield Nub News has been selected as a finalist at this year's North Cheshire Business Awards.

We are in the running to be named the Ambassador of the Year.

This award celebrates businesses that 'actively represent and promote the region in a positive and impactful way'.

"It recognises the organisations that go beyond their own commercial success to support the wider business community, raise the profile of North Cheshire, and contribute to its ongoing growth," the North Cheshire Business Awards website reads.

"This includes championing local initiatives, supporting other organisations, and playing a visible role in the region's business landscape."

Macclesfield Nub News helps to promote the town in a variety of ways, including our What's On events page and our Shop Local business directory.

We also work in partnership with a number of local organisations, such as the Rossendale Trust and East Cheshire Hospice.

Unlike other award categories, the Ambassador of the Year will be determined by a public vote.

Macclesfield Nub News faces some tough competition, with Jodrell Bank and Macclesfield FC both in the running.

Bollington Printshop and Knutsford and District Lions Club have also been named as finalists.
