Macclesfield: Police seek woman regarding Christmas Eve incident

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they are looking to speak to in relation to an incident in Macclesfield.

At around 5:10pm Sunday 24 December, officers responded to reports of shoplifting at the Co-Op store on West Park Drive, Macclesfield.

During the incident, an unknown female has exited the store without paying for a considerable quantity of alcohol products.

The female is described as white, around 5' 6" tall with blond hair.

At the time of the incident, she was wearing black leggings, black coat with a grey fur hood and white trainers.

Officers have now released CCTV images of the woman they would like to speak to in relation to these incident.

PC Jon Williams, of Macclesfield Neighbourhood Unit, said: "Enquiries are currently ongoing and as part of our investigation, we would like to speak to the woman pictured in the CCTV image."

"If anyone recognises this female, please contact us via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or call 101, quoting 23001315101.

"I would also like to appeal directly to the woman pictured to come forward."
