The Swan with Two Necks, seeks a new publican, after Wendy Smith announced she was leaving the pub to spend more time with family and friends.

The beloved Macclesfield publican spent 18 years managing the pub, and championed live music as well as raising tens of thousands of pounds for charity.

The ingoing cost to take on the pub is £10,000. The annual rent is £25,000.

While it is the only pub left on the west side of Chestergate, it's location is also a bonus for the next person to take the pub on, as 45 new flats are coming just next door.

Outgoing 'pub mum' Wendy Smith wrote on Facebook: "I have loved every minute of being at the Swan, and would like to thank every single band/ musician and patrons for your loyal support over the years."

"I shall organise a good ole' knees-up to say bye. I'm looking at being out at the end of January 2024.

"Thanks for the good times."
