With November 11 falling on a Friday and just two days before Remembrance Sunday, there is a plethora of events to honour our nation's soldiers past or present this forthcoming weekend.
And on Saturday November 12, Macclesfield Male Voice Choir will mark the Remembrance weekend with a performance of carefully selected pieces.
To respect the occasion, these will be songs of hope as well as solemnity.
The concert is at 19.30 at Macclesfield Methodist Church, Westminster Road, SK10 1BX.
All are welcome and tickets are just £8 per person.
These can be obtained via their website or in person from one of the choir's singers.
Tickets are also available at the Tourist Information Centres in Macclesfield and Congleton, Bollington Library and Knutsford Heritage Centre.
There will be a Remembrance wreath on stage for their performance.
Parking for the event can be at the nearby Whalley Hayes car park.
It is the choir's penultimate show of the year.
They will also have a Songs from the Shows concert coming this December.
Want to join? The choir can be contacted by email at [email protected] or phone 07471 230513.
