It is Black Friday this weekend, and businesses are getting in touch with Nub News to help spread the word.

Pet Food Supplies, on Moss Lane, is hosting a big sale on two major stock ranges.

2023 has been a year of major improvements in their fishing equipment department.

Following years of closure of local stockists, Pet Food Supplies have angled to reel in the Macclesfield fishing market.

And this will culminate with an event that both amateur and expert fans of the hobby can enjoy.

There will be a 50% sale off selected lines (pun intended). Furthermore, Julian Cundiff, author and fisherman since the 1970s, will be in attendance.

Macclesfield Nub News met with Pet Food Supplies owner Gayle Parks to find out more.

"We've expanded our fishing range," said Gayle.

"To celebrate this, we are hosting an Open Day this Saturday November 25.

"This will see up to half price on selected fishing products.

"We will also have a raffle with three prizes to be won.

"We are open from 9am to 5pm this Saturday.

"It has taken three years to get to here. We've got a lot more premium products, from jackets, to bait, to fishing furniture."

"And we haven't finished yet our fishing range yet. We've got some more products coming in over the next eight weeks."

If you can't make this Saturday's event, why not browse their full stock range online?

They have also launched a new newsletter called 'The Fishing Club', to support the fishing community in Macclesfield and beyond, and offer vouchers to them.

Furthermore, Pet Food Supplies will be hosting an 'all-things-must-go' sale on their secondhand equestrian products. This will also be on this Saturday.

They will no longer sell these, once everything has sold out.

This is to make more room in the shop. However, brand new horse products will still be sold. In fact, many new horse products will have prices slashed for Saturday only as well.

From duck food to cat toys, dog leads to wild bird feed, Pet Food Supplies have you covered.

The independent business has been going for 42 years, and is a family business, with Gayle managing the last 16.

Pet Food Supplies is open six days a week, 9am to 5:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

On a Thursday, they have introduced a new late night opening to help people who work late, so they are open from 9am to 7:30pm. They are also open on a Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

They are closed on a Sunday.
