A new family-run sandwich shop serving homemade food has launched in Macclesfield, with the business also running fortnightly Sunday roasts.

Katy's Kitchen, High Street, officially opened on Wednesday 1 November.

The café is operated by former care worker of 18 years, Katy McNally, with support from her mum, Heather, who both live in Macclesfield.

"This place became available on the corner right near to my home and I thought it was no-brainer," said Katie.

Katy's Kitchen serves a variety of hot and cold food, including fresh sandwiches, breakfasts, paninis, burgers and chips.

To keep its menu fresh, the new eatery also offers daily specials.

Katy told Nub News: "We are a sandwich shop/ café serving fresh, homemade, hot and cold food.

"My grandma was a caterer, so I grew up in this industry and have now gone back to my roots.

"People had been telling me to do this for years. Whenever they had a party of gathering, they would say Katy can do the food.

"We serve a large variety of food items here, such as breakfasts, paninis, cold sandwiches, burgers and chips.

"There are options available for kids and we like to do daily specials. These are things we come with to offer something different everyday.

"Our most popular menu items are our breakfasts, which go down a treat, as well as burgers and paninis."

Katy's Kitchen opens every other Sunday to serve roasts dinners, with two meats available each time.

The business also offers eat-in, collection and delivery orders to its customers.

Katy said: "Every other Sunday we offer roast dinners. We open pre-orders for customers the Monday before and this closes on the Friday.

"This allows me to know how much produce I need so there isn't any waste.

"The roasts are available fo collection or delivery, with two different meats being available each time. They are priced at £15 or £12 for OAPs."

Katy is thrilled by the positive feedback her new sandwich shop has received from Macclesfield residents since launching.

The business owner added: "The response from the local community has been really good so far. I have had quite a few people praising the roast dinners.

"In the future I would like to add a few new items to my food menu. The southern fried chicken wrap speck was very popular so I am considering that.

They are located at 168 High St, Macclesfield SK11 7QE.

"There are a few items I may still take off. I am still getting any understanding of what my customers want. It is trial and error really.

"People should come and try Katy's Kitchen because all of my food is homemade and fresh.

"I am an independent Macclesfield business and would love to have your support. "Thank you to anyone who has been positive about the business since opening."

Katy's Kitchen is open 7:30am until 3pm (Monday to Friday), 8am to 3pm (Saturday) and 9:30am until 2:30pm (every other Sunday).
