A café in the Macclesfield area wants you to have your say on its future.

The Green on the Corner in Hurdsfield is a community café ran a community interest company.

As well as serving yummy food and a perfect Food Hygiene Rating, the non-profit hosts community activities such as art groups, craft groups and after school clubs.

They are also a vital asset in supporting the dementia community in Hurdsfield and the wider Macclesfield area.

A survey has been launched on how to best use the space.

It reads: "We are seeking residents views on the effective use of the Green in the Corner. The library and café have been knocked through to facilitate larger groups and community events, such as the recent coronation party.

"Due to the increasing cost of utility bills and lack of demand we are using the building to host groups such as Age UK, an Arts and Craft group and Council Surgery breakfast. But we want you to tell us how the community wants to use the Green.

"Please complete the survey and make your opinion count."

Questions in the survey regard homework clubs, litter picking groups, and community gardening.

Other services hinted at include a school uniform swap, to cut down on waste and save people money.

Another question asks how likely and frequent you'd be able to attend a community meal, to get to know other locals.

Their opening hours could also be set to change.

Peaks and Plains Housing Trust said: "@Greenincorner have gotten bigger and @CheshireEast want to know what YOU would like to use the space for.

"Get the ball rolling for what YOU want by filling out their survey."

The survey concludes by asking whether you'd be able to volunteer there.

Trustees of the charity include Macclesfield councillors and Hurdsfield residents.

The survey is just 13 questions long, and can be filled in HERE.
