Macclesfield IT business CARA Technology have celebrated their 30th birthday.

The Crossall Street cyber experts employ nine, and all except one were in attendance to mark the occasion.

They celebrated their big day on November 11 at the Tytherington Club in Macclesfield. Macclesfield clients and business partners also attended.

CARA Technology, an IT solutions organisation who work with local businesses providing cybersecurity and IT support, were excited to mark the date with an afternoon of celebrations.

Co-founder Andrew Rosamond was delighted to bring together everyone who has contributed so much to the growth and success of the business over the last 30 years.

Andrew commented: "It was fantastic to welcome so many people for a brilliant event and expo.

"It's very cliched but 30 years have flown by, the business has grown from strength to strength, and we couldn't have done it without the support of everyone.

"The team and I are very proud of how far we've come and are excited for what the next 30 years will hold".

Having been in business since 1991, CARA was founded when computers would take 14 minutes to compile a simple program. 30 years later they boast 157 clients, nine staff members and computers now take 0.04 seconds to compile the same program.

Along with an afternoon of lunch and conversation, CARA also hosted a technology expo with sponsors showing off the latest, hardware, software, and cybersecurity the industry has to offer.

Terra representative, Alicia Shepard said: "We've been working with CARA for the past year as a strategic partner, they have been a huge asset and a pleasure to work with.

"30 years is a huge achievement, and it was brilliant to celebrate the occasion with everyone.

"We are excited for what 2022 will hold and are looking forward to working with Andrew and the team in the coming future."

Computing technology have come on in leaps and bounds since the Macclesfield businesses founding in 1991.

It has advanced so much that now it takes 0.04 to compile a simple program, whereas 30 years ago it would have taken 14 minutes.
