The Macclesfield Town FC Youth Development Squad has confirmed they will continue as normal despite the court decision to wind up the club.

The full-time academy programme is run separately from the business of the club in partnership with Macclesfield College.

A statement from the squad said: "Our Football Academy Programme, in partnership with Macclesfield College, continues as per usual. Our BTEC Academy has always and will continue to be run independently from what was the Ltd company of MTFC.

"We remain financially capable even in these exceptional circumstances, to continue to run a professional and successful Football Academy."

Players in the academy have been advised that timetables will continue as normal from tomorrow morning.
