Macclesfield: Tytherington pub reopens with capacity and jobs increase

Macclesfield pub, The Brocklehurst Arms, on Manchester Road, has reopened to the public following an exciting six-figure renovation designed to revitalise the existing site and give it a brand-new look and feel.

The Brocklehurst Arms closed its doors in early November and has now reopened as a Greene King pub, following completion of major works both inside and out, reaffirming the popular Macclesfield pub as a central community space.

The inside of the pub has received a complete makeover to create a modern, welcoming atmosphere for the community to come together.

The pub now has an open plan layout, with a more modern appearance, including vibrant décor and mood lighting, and there will be an additional 50 seats, meaning there is even more room to relax and unwind.

The pub offers Sky, TNT Sport, Amazon plus many more sporting channels, and will be showing all major matches for customers to enjoy, with more TV screens dotted around the pub for prime viewing.

Sports lovers can even download the Greene King sports app, where they can enjoy a free drink on sign up and 10% off all drinks an hour before, during and after matches.

The garden has seen a huge increase extension, increasing from 100 to 290 seats, where guests can now enjoy a new covered pergola area, featuring comfortable seating, a large TV screen, atmospheric lighting and heating.

Plus, the addition of a brand-new outdoor children's play area; making it the perfect spot to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat for all the family. 

Formerly a Hungry Horse site, the Brocklehurst Arms has reopened as a Greene King pub with a delicious new menu, featuring small plates like Mango and Lime Tacos, Salt & Pepper Squid, Nacho Sharers and brand-new premium Smash Burgers, plus all the traditional pub classics.

Locals can also enjoy a breakfast menu from 9-10:30am on weekends, as well as a range of food deals running throughout the week, including lunch club deals starting at £8.99 and 2 pub classics mains for just £14.99.

Located in the heart of Tytherington, the pub aims to be a local community hot spot for all, whether it be for celebrations, sports, music or just a casual drink or bite to eat.

The pub is dog-friendly both inside and out, meaning that those who want to bring their furry friends can do so.

The pub also ran a competition on its social media channels to find 'Macclesfield local hero', who will have the privilege of cutting the ribbon on grand opening night. Macclesfield local hero was announced as Henry Moores, who walked from Tytherington to Paris for charity.

The inspirational young man who officially opened the pub recently raised over £20,000 for charity, including thousands for Macclesfield good causes.

Alongside seasonal events for Christmas and the new year, the Brocklehurst Arms hosts a regular programme of events, including weekly Thursday quiz nights, plus monthly live music events.
