A pre-school which is a fifteen minute drive from Macclesfield, are hoping to crowdfund a permanent building.

A pre-school in Wincle is looking to raise £50,000 for a new and improved building for the children who attend, but they need your help…

Twincle Pre-school is based in the countryside village of Wincle, and is vital for the local families that live in the area. With attendance being at an all-time high, the pre-school has decided that their 30-year-old temporary building needs an upgrade.

The rural pre-school near Macclesfield hopes to crowdfund a new building, and have raised almost £2000 so far.

"About 30 years ago funds were raised to purchase the Twincle pre-school building," explained Amy Henshaw, Trustee Treasurer.

The pre-school (right) wants to turn the non-permanent building into a permanent one, and needs your help.

"This was a temporary portacabin style building that has done well to survive this long, but the repairs of the building will now cost over a quarter of a new build and that is best case scenario.

"The school is small with 64 children in the school and 14 in pre-school, this makes our school very special but also makes fundraising so hard.

The new building would be a massive help to the staff that work there as well as the children who attended Twincle and go on to attend Wincle Primary School.

The pre-school sets toddlers up for Wincle Church of England Primary School where Twincle is also located, on SK11 0QH. Pictured is Twincle (right) and the the adjacent Wincle Primary School (left).

"We are hoping to continue to provide the children with the unique learning environment that Twincle provides and be able to enhance this even further with a new building" Amy said.

"We hope that the building will be able to be used as a community meeting space, something the current building is just not equipped for.

"It is vital to the children that attend as we are the only pre-school for miles for some of the rural families that attend.

"In order to overcome the challenge of raising enough money, the team at Twincle pre-school have organised several fundraising events.

As well as the GoFundMe page, multiple events will help cover the costs for the new building. all funds from the party go to the pre-school and a portion of the fete.

"Our biggest event will be the Wincle fete followed by the Wincle evening party, this is open to all to attend and should be an amazing family event.

"There is a children's disco, line dancing and live music, food and drink will also be served all proceeds going to the new building.

"We also hold smaller fundraisers throughout the year such as discos and a treasure hunt".

By attending the events and donating anything they can via their GoFundMe page, the team at Twincle are hoping that people will enjoy themselves whilst also raising money for a good cause.
