Macclesfield's first-ever Waitrose is getting one step closer.
In the spring, the Shell petrol station in Tytherington shut for refurbishment.
The new forecourt in the same spot on Manchester Road will house fuel pumps, electric car charging and a Little Waitrose store.
This week, Cheshire East Council have received a premises licence which requests for Little Waitrose to sell alcohol.
- It reads: "Proposed licensable activities: SALE OF ALCOHOL FOR CONSUMPTION OFF THE PREMISES AND THE PROVISION OF LATE-NIGHT REFRESHMENT Proposed days and hours of licensable activity: ALCOHOL SALES – MONDAY TO SUNDAY 00:00 TO 00:00 HOURS AND THE PROVISION OF LATE NIGHT REFRESHMENT – MONDAY TO SUNDAY 23:00 TO 05:00 HOURS EACH DAY
Representations shall be made in writing to the below address on or before the following date: 2 August 2023.
