A Macclesfield restaurant has undergone some big changes through the start of this year.

Prime Cut Bar and Grill, of Castle Street, opened in 2021. The independently-owned Macclesfield restaurant prides itself on their steaks, but have now expanded on their daytime offerings.

Co-Owner Ibrahim Demir told Macclesfield Nub News about what is new:

"We are still keeping all of the meat, from Australian steaks, Japanese wagyu beef, but we have noticed that in Macclesfield daytime trade is more important than evening," said Ibrahim.

"At this part of town, either people are coming to us for dinner or walking to Tesco. Most people walk here in the day, so we thought, we need to do something for the day trade then.

"We have introduced more brunch and lunch. We wanted to open for brunch when we first opened, but we could not as we were too busy."

Options on the new brunch menu range from Turkish eggs (a reference to the heritage and sister restaurant of the owners), French toast, and of course a brunch-only sirloin steak with eggs.

Elsewhere there is a chorizo hash, and the brunch staple avocado toast with halloumi or feta."

"When we first started it was the meat, obviously everyone knows Salt Bae, we saw an opportunity there and thought there was nothing like that in Cheshire," recalled Ibrahim.

"We looked around Wilmslow, Hale, Alderley Edge, but when we saw this place in Macclesfield we thought it was fantastic."

As a tribute to the name of the restaurant, the location of the business is also prime, with countless traffic on Churchill Way passing the restaurant as well as the pedestrians coming out of the Grosvenor Centre and Castle Street.

Remarkably, their building was empty for a whopping x years, with a previous use being a building society.

"I can't believe it has been three years to be honest. It doesn't feel like it has been three years at all.

"For me, every single day is like something new. It gives me a great feeling this restaurant, and every single person that comes in can see the positive vibe, which makes me come to work as well."

You can also new enjoy afternoon tea from £19.95pp, there's also bottomless brunch from £35pp.

Their revised opening hours now mean there is food served everyday from 9:30am.

"We are pleased to introduce our new concept," added Ibrahim.

"It is more affordable, there is an economic crisis everywhere all over the world.

"Meat is expensive, so we have introduced a lot more Mediterranean dishes to make it more affordable.

"We've also introduced more pizza and pasta dishes on our lunch menu.

"We have changed the starters to add more upmarket 'Prime-style' businesses as reasonable prices."

Guests will still get the proper 'Prime' experience in the daytime, with Instagrammable features scattered throughout the large dining floor.

There are also new 'high up' benches, to make you feel like royalty.

Ibrahim's favourite new dish from the daytime menu is the cheesesteak sandwich. But the chicken supreme with mash, green beans and vegetables has sold the best so far from the new additions.

"Our cooking style is different than a normal steakhouse," confessed Ibrahim.

"I used to go to a steakhouse with my family, but since I opened here I can't go there anymore.

"The style of cooking here, we take the cream out of the butter so the steak is more moist. So the butter is clear like olive oil.

"That is what makes us different from other steakhouses, by using clarified butter. We boil the butter ourselves to make it clarified.

"My favourite part of the job is making people happy. We get a lot of people coming for special occasions.

"As soon as they arrive, they say 'wow, this is amazing to have this in Macclesfield it is like we are in Soho'.

"You can't buy that happiness. We get a lot of people saying we should open in Manchester city centre, but I like it here, I like the Cheshire vibe.

"And over here, you can build a relationship with the locals. We have four ladies who come every Friday, and every Sunday. Speaking to them and saying 'Hi, how are you?'. That is the best feeling. We are very grateful.

"The main thing is, I would like to tell the people of Macclesfield who have not been here, to please come and try themselves."

In the near future, they would like to introduce more offers for families.

You can follow Prime Cut Bar and Grill on Facebook, and browse their daytime menu and evening Menu on their website.

Their opening hours are as follows: Sunday - Thursday - 11:00 am - 9:00 pm. Friday - Saturday - 11:00 am - 9:30 pm.
