Macclesfield College welcomed record numbers to their Apprenticeship Open Event.

The annual event, held on Thursday, March 12, proved to be a huge success, with a 61% increase in registrations compared to last year.

The strong response reflects the growing interest in apprenticeships and the continued work taking place across the college to promote these opportunities.

Tracy Cosgrave, director of employer enterprise and commercial services at Macclesfield College, said: "It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout at this year's Apprenticeship Open Event.

"The increase in registrations shows just how much interest there is in apprenticeships as a route into skilled careers.

"Events like this are a great opportunity for people to meet employers, explore the opportunities available and see how apprenticeships can help them build a successful future."

The annual event welcomed a steady flow of prospective apprentices, students and parents eager to explore apprenticeship opportunities and connect with local employers.

Visitors had the opportunity to speak with Macclesfield College's specialist apprenticeship team and gain insight into how apprenticeships combine employment with high quality training, offering a practical and rewarding route into skilled careers.

A key highlight of the event was the strong presence of the college's employer partners, with a wide range of businesses in attendance to showcase the opportunities they offer and speak directly with attendees about career pathways and the skills they are looking for in future apprentices.

Meanwhile, staff from across the college were on hand throughout the evening to provide guidance, answer questions and help visitors understand the next steps in starting an apprenticeship.

For those who were unable to attend, support is available throughout the year.

Macclesfield College's Maxim Apprenticeship Team are always happy to help anyone interested in exploring apprenticeship opportunities. They can be reached on 01625 410022.
