Two men have been charged and illicit items have been seized as part of an investigation into drug dealing in Macclesfield.

Police found drugs, cash, and a machete when they searched an address in Peel Street on Thursday 5 June.

The two men were charged with possessing drugs with intent to supply, and with possessing criminal property.

They appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court on 7 June and have been bailed to appear at Chester Crown Court on 4 July.

The details of the charges, as stated by Cheshire Police, are as follows:

  • Paul Masters, 44, from Percyvale Street in Macclesfield was charged with possession with intent to supply Class B drugs (cannabis), possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A (cocaine) and possessing criminal property.
  • Daniel Sant, 20, from Congleton Road, Gawsworth was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis), possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A (cocaine) and possessing criminal property.
