A man was arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour at Macclesfield station.

British Transport Police officers were called to Macclesfield railway station on Wednesday night, August 5.

It follows reports of a man behaving aggressively towards people.

Upon arrival, officers arrested a man on suspicion of drunk and disorderly behaviour.

A BTP spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Macclesfield railway station at 9.06pm yesterday following reports of a man acting aggressively towards people in the station.

"Officers attended and a man was arrested on suspicion of drunk and disorderly behaviour."
