A man has been charged following a 'serious assault' at a village pub.

Richard Bradbury appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Saturday, August 30, after being charged with section 18 assault.

This comes after police were called to reports that a 26-year-old man has been attacked at a pub in Langley at around 1pm on Sunday, August 24.

Following a police appeal, 32-year-old Bradbury, of Brocklehurst Avenue in Macclesfield, was arrested in connection with the incident.

At court on Saturday, he was remanded in custody.

Bradbury is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday, September 29.
