A man has died after collapsing in Macclesfield.

Emergency services were called to Moss Lane on Thursday night, September 3, following reports that a man had collapsed.

Despite the best efforts of all involved, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Cheshire Police have said the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for the force said: "At 9.50pm emergency services were called to reports that a man had collapsed near a car park off Moss Lane, Macclesfield.

"Police and paramedics attended the scene, sadly despite the best efforts of all those involved the man was pronounced dead.

"The death is not being treated as suspicions and a case file will be prepared for the coroner."
