New parent and baby social club set to launch in Macclesfield
By Michaela Theed 30th Aug 2026
A new baby and parent community is launching across Cheshire.
The Baby Social Club is aiming to bring a fresh approach to baby classes, connection and early parenthood in Macclesfield.
For founder Michaela Theed, an early years specialist and mum, the club is about turning your child's social life, into your social life.
She said: "I wanted to create the kind of baby community I would have wanted when I became a mum. Somewhere you could come as you are, meet people without the pressure of making friends immediately, and know that your baby is getting something valuable from the experience too.
"There are so many brilliant baby activities available, but I felt there was an opportunity to put the social side of parenthood right at the centre.
"The Baby Social Club is about babies, but it's also about the people raising them."
Michaela holds a BA (Hons) in early childhood education and a PGCE in early years, and has previously worked as a nanny, nursery deputy manager, and early years teacher.
Her experience has shaped the way The Baby Social Club approaches sensory play and child development.

Launching in Macclesfield and Northwich in October, each class will combine thoughtfully designed sensory experiences, age-appropriate developmental play and immersive themes, while deliberately creating space for parents to chat, connect and build friendships.
The Macclesfield sessions will take place at The Button Warehouse on Chestergate every Thursday.
Alongside the regular classes, The Baby Social Club will also offer seasonal specials, parent meet-ups, expert-led workshops, strolls and other community experiences throughout the year.
