A former member of legendary English band The Specials is to perform in Macclesfield.

Neville Staple will play a show in our town next year. He can be heard on some of The Specials' biggest hits like the UK No 1 single Ghost Town.

The vocalist and percussionist for The Specials from their original line-up until 2012 will be performing what is thought to be his first gig in the town.

He is the first confirmed headliner for Party in the Pews Festival 2024.

You'll be able to buy tickets before anyone else at the 2023 edition of the festival, which takes place next weekend in Christ Church.
