Cheshire East Council has greenlit plans for a mixed use development in east Macclesfield.

Proposals for a mixed-use development comprising assisted care living (Class Use C2) and residential accommodation (Class Use C3) with associated parking and landscaping, have been approved on Goodall Street.

The development, at 3 Anderson House, will also look down towards Parker Street. The site formerly housed offices but will now become a mix of assisted care and residential units.

The plans consists of eight no. self-contained 1-bedroom apartments and a supported living accommodation for 8 residents reliant on a shared communal space.

Concerns were raised in a planning document over a lack of off street parking, but at least five spaces will be available on the site, and a further two bays for those who are caring for those in a assisted care.

The initial application form made reference to ten parking spaces.
