7th Jun 2021 | Local News

St. Michael's Church in Market Place, Macclesfield, is delighted to announce the next two concerts in our popular series of lunchtime recitals.

The iconic Macclesfield venue is delighted to bring live music back to the town centre.

All require COVID-compliant restrictions on social distancing and track-and trace will of course be in place, and face-coverings must also be worn.

The concerts are free, but for the time-being no refreshments will be available.

Donations may be made to the East Cheshire Hospice and St. Michael's.

All concerts start at 1.15pm and finish by 2pm.

This first one is on Friday 11th June, were the local musician Robert Marshall will give a piano recital.

Classical composers will be honoured, including pieces by Stravinsky, Scriabin and Rachmaninov.

On Friday 18th June, Innsaei will come to Macclesfield. Innsaei are an exciting and talented string quartet from the Royal Northern College of Music.

St. Michael's is very pleased to be contributing to a return to the lively cultural life we all enjoy so much in Macclesfield. You're in for a treat!
