A Macclesfield woman is to open a cakery within weeks.

Dolly Daydream Cakery will open at 5 Queen Victoria Street in Mid-July.

Macclesfield resident Hollie Williamson had her business previously located inside Courtyard Kitchen in Duke's Court, which has done so well, it has seen her expand to a premises of her own.

"Dolly Daydream Cakery is a local cake shop which will be a hub to enjoy sweet treats and get together for a nice time in a vibrant atmosphere," said Hollie.

"We do loads of different sweet treats to eat on site or take away. We also do custom orders for special occasions like birthday or wedding cakes.

"We will have a savoury menu as well. We will have afternoon tea, served with Prosecco. We have just got our alcohol licence which is fantastic.

"We are in a culture now where people put a lot of importance of how things look, and whether it is Instagrammable, because you eat with your eyes as well as your mouth, so my unique selling point is cakes that taste as good as they look."

Hollie's baking skills come from her grandmother, and her drive to self-teach. Dolly Daydream is her first professional venture in regards to her hobby.

The cakery and café will offer 100% homemade cakes and bakes. There's also some sandwiches to be added to her brand, a first for Hollie. (Image

The businesswoman - who is originally from the Moss Estate - attended The Macclesfield Academy.

She holds a degree in Fine Arts, which has helped her up her presentation game in regards to her eye-catching bakes.

"I love the community feel of Macclesfield", added Hollie.

"Everybody wants to support you and support local. That includes all the other independent businesses themselves who are very helpful.

"It is nice to feel like people want you to do well, rather than feeling overwhelmed by bigger competitors.

"I'm looking forward to welcoming Macclesfield to our lovely new café."

Being one of the first shops visitors to Macclesfield by bus can see, Hollie has pulled the stops out and decorated her shopfront with plenty of flowers.

They'll also be floral baskets either side of the entrance. As evident from these images, her cakes have the same meticulous attention to detail.
