A new business has opened up on Waters Green.
Tomlinson & Gray is a new kitchen and bathroom showroom located opposite Macclesfield Railway Station.
The business is a co-venture between Macclesfield residents Liam Gray and Adam Tomlinson.
Ollie Nock joins Adam and Liam to manage the showroom.
Macclesfield Nub News met up with the trio to find out what the new company and showroom is all about:
"Tomlinson & Gray is about selling high quality bathrooms and kitchens at reasonable prices", said Co-Director Adam.
"We have a good showroom with exclusive suppliers, made-to-measure kitchens, and all-ranges of bathrooms from a budget bathroom to high-end."
"We're here to change people's homes for the better", said Salesman Ollie.
"The aim is to compete and provide a service for people from every walk of life."
They will be using local tradespeople to carry out installation for any sales they make.
"We have built relationships with suppliers so the tradesmen knows the product", added Adam.
"Liam will visit the customer at their home, and carry out a bespoke measure tailored to your room.
The process "is as open and as honest as it can possibly be", added Ollie.
"Adam and Liam run separate businesses so they have built up a reputation of trust in Macclesfield. They are proud to put their surnames on the business name.
"And I think that stands in good stead within the future as well. It can only get bigger.
"I think there is a lack of small businesses in this sector in the town. And I think the prominence of where we are, opposite the train station, it is easy to be seen and found.
"There is just four of us here, so there's benefits for the customer that they know who they are dealing with throughout the process, and they can build that relationship.
"The aftercare is a big factor for us, from the warranties and guarantees we provide, we know the workmen are trusted, reputable and are in the area too."
The showroom opened to the public on Monday October 16. Their opening hours will be Monday to Friday 9-5.
They will also be open on a Saturday, from 9-3.
There will also be an open night every Monday for the foreseeable future until 7pm, to allow people who work late to come in and see what they have to offer.
And there is going to be a round-the-clock service in answering the phone as well.
"What I have found is people find that everybody they try and ring for an enquiry, it feels like they are too busy for them. But we are not like that," revealed Ollie.
"We're a one-stop shop, we're welcoming any trusted traders who want to work with us in the area. We have got the ability and the size to show that we can do that.
And the trio are all Macclesfield residents as well, with Adam and Liam being from here and living in east Macclesfield, whereas Ollie (originally from Manchester) lives in Hurdsfield.
"The difference between the big chains and people like us it that the customer has a close relationship", added Co-Director Liam.
"We're a familiar face. You are not going to get passed from pillar to post with us.
"We've got two healthy businesses already. I suppose we are striving, hungry, and just about young enough to try and make this work.
"And if I feel like if we don't do it, we'd always be wondering, we'd never know, and live in regret.
"We saw the opportunity and have taken it. We're business-minded, and feel like we can make it a success.
"We strive to offer a five-star service on every occasion, and with Ollie's customer service experience, we'll be recommended no-end on good word of mouth."
