The Clayrooms are celebrating their six-month anniversary at Park Green.

The orange-clad pottery studio, opened six months ago this week.

Co-Founders Sarah Heaton and Helen Cammiss chose Macclesfield as the second site for their Derbyshire-founded pottery business.

Manager Matt Whiting manages the new store, which offers ceramics classes for everyone.

Macclesfield amateur potters take to the wheel, like a duck to water.

"Macclesfield has opened their arms to us and we have been busy spreading our love of pottery," said Matt.

"The studio is already full to the brim with some amazing creations from workshops, courses and members."

"Thanks so much for making Matt feel so welcome," said Helen and Sarah.

"He's wowed you all with his knowledge, expertise and passion and has loved meeting you all.

The relatively new venture wants to promote the wellness and social benefits pottery can bring.

"We're so excited about the future...we have so many exciting plans for Macclesfield. Here's to the next 6 months."

As well as their premises on 32A Park Green, they have also held pottery classes in pubs across Macclesfield.

And in addition to forging great links in the community, The Clayrooms has also attracted famous ceramicists.

That's because Dan from this year's The Great Pottery Throwdown has used The Clayrooms to practice in the run-up to the recording of the show.
