New mental health café will provide 'invaluable support' says Macclesfield MP

Now, Macclesfield MP David Rutley has visited the new mental health support centre on The Weston estate.
One month after the opening of Macclesfield's new Crisis Café, Macclesfield's Conservative parliamentarian David Rutley popped in to get an update on the work being done the new community asset.
Crisis cafes provide a comfortable space, away from a clinical environment,
for those in crisis and provide a safe haven to help prevent mental healthchallenges increasing.
You don't have to be from the Weston to receive help, in what is designed to
reduce waiting lists in GPs and hospitals. Mental health workers within the café are also on hand to give practicaladvice and signposting, helping individuals by ensuring they are referred
to services to get the advice and support they need, when they need it. Speaking after his meeting, David said, "Macclesfield's new Crisis Caféis very important to tackle mental health concerns."
"The variety of services on offer will provide invaluable support for those
who need it. "We are very lucky to have such a committed team.[They're] committed to ensure they make a difference to individuals that
walk through the door. "I would urge anyone facing challenges to contact the café and accessthe facilities available."
David Rutley will have been our town's MP for 12 years next month.
The café is a result of a partnership between Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS
Foundation Trust and Cheshire East Council. The project also came to fruition with help from East Cheshire Housing Consortium. The Macclesfield café is located within The Weston Hub, The Weston Centre, Earlsway, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 8RL, open seven days a week, from 10amtill 10pm.
