A brand new Mexican food outlet is coming to Macclesfield town centre.

Tres Burritos is opening on Saturday 26th August at 10am.

Located where No Place Like Home gift shop used to be, the Mexican takeaway will offer fresh burritos, tacos and quesadillas.

They are filling in a very delicious gap in the market, after the last Mexican in Macclesfield shut last year.

The business is joint venture between the trio Nikolay Iliev, his partner Irinel Arbanas, and Nikolay's sister Hristina Naydenova. Hence the name, tres (Spanish for three).

The three already live around the corner together in Macclesfield, so thought "'Why not start a business as well'" shares Nikolay.

"We are excited to bring our fresh and tasty food to Macclesfield", said Nikolay.

"We are going to have multiple types of meat, as well as veggie and vegan options.

"The meat is going to be cooked on a pressure cooker, so is a healthier way of preparing it.

"We are keeping the menu small, but at a high standard."

Other menu items include nachos and healthy rice bowls.

They will pride themselves on using proper guacamole, and also serve sides such as fajita-mix fries.

"I worked as a chef for a Mexican restaurant in London for almost five years," said Irinel.

"He actually kept this a secret from us for a long time, but when he cooked Mexican food for us it was amazing," recalled Nikolay.

"Me and my sister don't like beef, but when he cooks it, we die for it. He makes it so nice. And we want to share that here."

There will be a seating area downstairs and upstairs. And an open kitchen for guests to order from and eat in the view of.

The owners opted for this, as a testament to how fresh their food is.

"We are focus on cooking fresh food every day with everything made here", added Nikolay.

"We will be available on UberEats and Just Eat as well."

The independent eatery will be open six days a week, Monday to Saturday.

However, they will be open on Treacle Sunday this weekend.
