New office opened in Macclesfield by former mill worker

A Macclesfield company have reaffirmed their commitment to Macclesfield by reopening their recently-refurbished office.

Inizio Medical, which have been on Windmill Street for about 30 years, now hope to be here for the next 30 with their spruced up office.

320 people work at their Macclesfield site, for the company which delivers medical communications, informs scientific research, and other aspects of healthcare.

Their new office, which was delicately refurbished in the Grade II listed Victoria Mill, is also home to similar companies however Inizio is one of the largest.

There to cut the ribbon on their new office as a guest of honour was 94-year-old Joan Hulme, who originally worked at Victoria Mill as a floor manager when it was a functioning silk mill.

Her appearance reflected the building's history, but also honouring our town's former dominant industry, for what is the new big employer of the many medical and pharmaceutical companies in Macclesfield.

The refurbishment has been four years in the making,

The new office reflects the new post-pandemic office life, with huge investment into amenities as well as supporting the community by inviting smaller businesses in to provide their services to staff.

As well as what the firm calls a 'dynamic new working space', improvements include yoga, dry cleaning services and a coach for mindfulness.

There's also a local beautician as well as a Macclesfield personal trainer who will host sessions and walks in gorgeous the countryside which surrounds their office building,

Macclesfield caterers Feast and Flow will also provide healthy meals, with a strong focus on nutrition, for a working lunch like no other.

In a speech, Inizio Health CEO Dan Bridges said: "We want to be a part of Macclesfield, we always have been," he said.

"In a post-pandemic world, collaborative in-person working is essential to deliver creative work that stands out from the crowd. We aim to combine the flexibility of hybrid working with the personal touch you can only get with face-to-face interaction.

"This is not just good for the business but is also essential for the learning and development of our talented employees across the business. The importance of employee mental and physical well-being is at the heart of the new working environment we have created through the refurbishment."

The business also have a partnership with Macclesfield venue The Button Warehouse, to further strengthen their community roots.
