Bollington is getting an early Christmas present as a new restaurant opens tomorrow.

KIRA Bistro & Lounge will open where Briscola used to be on 88 Palmerston Street.

It is the expansion of the UK-renowned street food vendor The Indian Goat.

Sunitha Southern has graduated from her humble beginnings from a food truck on The Bollington Recreation Ground, to a permanent premises in Bollington town centre.

Their menus reflect Sunitha's personal journey with food from the Far East and the West, a modern approach on traditional Indian dishes from cooking to presentation.

"I have named my first restaurant Kira because it is from the heart, a beam of light bringing new hope and it also has strong ties to nature," she said.

"We use only the freshest, seasonal ingredients.

"The emphasis is on reinvigorating and embracing the entire dining experience: we are committed to providing the best quality we can making every guest feel special.

There's also a cocktail bar, with over ten cocktails to choose from.

"We strive to ensure your experience represents the delicate balance of rich traditional flavours with freshest ingredients. Our service philosophy is simple, there are no starters or mains your selection of sharing platters is simply delivered to your table fresh out of the kitchen when ready."

Sunitha is grateful for everyone's support, and you can try out the restaurant from Wednesday December 21.
