A new social group bringing together fans of tabletop gaming will launch in Macclesfield this week..

Macclesfield Meeples formed earlier this month and will host their first meet-up on Tuesday.

The group takes their name from our town, and after small humanoid figures used as a playing piece in certain board games.

Everyone is welcome to their inaugural tabletop gaming evening, which will be held every week.

The four-times-a-month event will take place on every Tuesday, from 7pm.

Just head to The Cheshire Gap, the Macclesfield deli and bar which re-opened last month.

They're operating on a bring-your-own-games BYOG model to begin with.

The group are also accepting donations.

The non-profit is kindly asking for a £2 fee to purchase new boardgames.

There is hopes for family favourite boardgames, plus cult titles like Ticket to Ride and Dungeons and Dragons.

The new group has joined social media this week.

They currently have five followers on Twitter.

You can give them a follow @MaccMeeples.

Get in touch with them, or simply head into the Cheshire Gap every Tuesday.
