A Macclesfield commercial building will have a new flat above it - should it be given the go-ahead.

It looks like there will be a new flat above Rustica on Park Lane.

That is because an application of the same address - 71 Park Lane - has been submitted.

The Cheshire East Council planning application is a change of use application.

It reads "change of use of 1st floor storage and hair salon to 2 bedroom apartment."

While Rustica is the only business at that address now, there used to be a hair studio called Headlines where the new apartment is going to be.

The accommodation would have one single bedroom and one double bedroom, meaning three people could live here.

A Higher Sutton design consultant has been consulted for the project.

Should plans be approved, the living quarters would comprise 241 square metres.

Macclesfield residents can have their say until October 17.

A decision is earmarked for November 17. You can read the full plans by clicking HERE.
