A new support group is launching for people with stomas.
East Cheshire NHS Trust's Stoma Team will host its first Stoma Support Group later this month.
Held at Prestbury Village Hall, the session will be open to anyone living with a stoma, along with their family members and carers.
The group has been established to offer a relaxed, social environment where people can connect away from a clinical setting.
A spokesperson for the trust said: "Whilst medical care is essential, the process of adjusting to life with a stoma is often helped by talking to others who have similar daily experiences.
"The meetings are designed to be informal and welcoming for everyone, whether they have recently had surgery or have been managing a stoma for many years.
" It is a straightforward opportunity to meet others who understand the practicalities of stoma care in a friendly atmosphere."
The first meeting of the Stoma Support Group takes place on Thursday, April 30, from 2pm to 4pm.
Members of the trust's Stoma Team will be on hand to provide professional support and answer any questions.
No appointment or booking is needed.
