Detectives are appealing to the public for information in relation to a burglary at a business in Macclesfield.

At around 11am on Tuesday 21 March, officers received reports of a burglary at a business in Macclesfield.

Upon attending the scene at Brindley Way, officers determined that a burglary had taken place between 6pm on Monday 20 March and 10am on Tuesday 21 March.

Upon further investigation, officers determined that an unknown number of individuals forcibly entered a business via forcing open a rear shutter before proceeding to steal around £19,000 worth of stock.

Enquiries into the incident currently remain ongoing and, as part of the investigation, officers are appealing to members of the public for any information, CCTV or dashcam footage which may be useful to get in touch.

Doug Whitfeild of Macclesfield Local Policing Unit said: "Other than the footage monitored by the on-site security team where the commercial property is located, CCTV opportunities currently remain very limited.

"If you were in the local area or have any CCTV or dash cam footage, please do not hesitate to get in touch."

Anyone with any information or CCTV footage should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or enquire via our website, quoting IML 1505238.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
