A new outdoor choir event will raise money for a community litter pick across Macclesfield.

The Park Sing and Picnic will take place at Victoria Park, Hurdsfield on Saturday July 22.

Everyone's invited to show up when they like from 10:30am to 12:00pm to join in with a free singing workshop.

However, donations are recommended to help fund the monthly litter picks conducted by Roe Street plastic-free shop Scoop and Scales.

It is one of many events happening across Macclesfield as part of Plastic Free July, an international movement to raise awareness for a plastic free future.

The event is co-organised by Macclesfield residents Hana Morgan and Siobhan Donnelly, under their singing brands respectively called Songs in Circle and Siobhan Sings.
