Pair of suspected drug dealers arrested during police raid in Macclesfield named

Police have named the two people arrested during a drugs raid in Macclesfield.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, September 9, officers from the Serious and Organised Crime Unit carried out a warrant at an address on Princes Way.
Two people were arrested and have since each been charged with two counts of being concerned in the of class A drugs, namely crack cocaine and cocaine as well as being concerned in the supply of class B drugs, namely cannabis, and a charge of acquiring/using/possesing criminal property.
The pair have been named as 36-year-old Jamie Alcock and 39-year-old Nicola Alcock, both of Princes Way, Macclesfield.
They have both been n remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 10.
Speaking after the raid on Tuesday, Detective Sergeant David of the Serious and Organised Crime Unit said: "Today's warrant is part of our ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related crime in the Macclesfield area and hope that the arrests provide reassurance for local residents.
"The impact of illegal drugs is well known, and we're committed to doing all we can to ensure those responsible are held accountable.
"Information from the public is vital and I'd urge anyone with any information in relation to drug-related activity in their community to get in touch.
