'Bigger and better' - Macclesfield Pancake Race returns for 2025
Get ready to flip your way to victory at the Macclesfield Pancake Race.
The much-loved event in aid of East Cheshire NHS Charity is back for 2025.
On Shrove Tuesday, which this year falls on March 4, competitors will sprint up and down Mill Street while tossing pancakes in frying pans.
Businesses, schools, clubs and organisations are encouraged to take part, with registrations now open.
Lily Preston, East Cheshire NHS Charity Fundraising Manager, said: "The pancake race is a fantastic community event that unites local businesses and organisations to support our exceptional healthcare services.
"Last year's event was a tremendous success, and we're excited to make this year's race even bigger and better.
"We encourage everyone to participate and help us raise vital funds while having a great time."
The Macclesfield Pancake Race starts at midday on Tuesday, March 4.
There will be lots of prizes up for offer, including an award for best fancy dress.
Local radio station Silk FM will be on hand to keep crowds entertained before, during and after the race.
Money raised will help fund enhanced facilities, state-of-the-art medical equipment and all the added extras that make people's experience at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Knutsford Community Hospital, and Congleton War Memorial Hospital the best it can be.
Registration, which costs £30 for a team of four, can be done by visiting https://eastcheshirenhscharity.org/events/macclesfield-pancake-race/ or emailing [email protected].
East Cheshire NHS Charity is also looking to partner with local businesses for sponsorship opportunities.
