The voice of Macclesfield Pride has been found.

MaccPride brought together the winners and runners-up of its annual Karaoke Challenge for an all-star showdown.

Natalie Ashworth came out on top and will go on to perform at this year's MaccPride, which takes place on July 5.

A committee member said: "The night was an amazing display of Macclesfield talent, all supporting the inclusivity and diversity which MaccPride continues to promote."

MaccPride's Karaoke Challenge has taken place for the past six years.

The competition sees local pubs and venues stage heats, with the winners going on to a final.

One lucky person is then picked as the winner and gets the chance to perform on the stage at MaccPride itself.

This year organisers brought together past winners and runners-up for an All-Stars edition, held at Broken Cross Club on Friday, March 21.

The judges (Bella Savage, Michael Dawes and Lynze Barker-Hewitt) had the difficult task of choosing a winner, with the audience also getting to vote.

Natalie Ashworth was crowned the All-Stars champion, having won the first-ever MaccPride Karaoke Challenge back in 2019.

She was presented with a trophy and £100, as well as the opportunity to sing at MaccPride 2025.

This year's MaccPride is being held in Market Place from 10.30am to 6pm on Saturday, July 5.

Hosted by Stella Black, there will be live entertainment throughout the day, with Canalside Radio supporting the event.

At 11am the march will set off from Christ Church, making its way down Catherine Street and Chestergate before arriving in Market Place.

On the main stage, attendees will be able to enjoy Cher, Pink and Olly Aleander tributes and a display from local dance school, Bee Superior.

There will also be performances by Lucy Lou, PJ Taylor, Jay Mac, Tina Tuna and Kelley Tigerheart.

Meanwhile, St Michael's Church will be hosting a number of charity stalls as well as activities for children.

Macclesfield Town Council will put on free buses throughout the day.

A MaccPride committee spokesperson said: "We have been working hard behind the scenes to bring together an event that truly reflects the spirit, diversity and vibrancy of our local LGBTQ+ family, friends and allies community.

"This year we are especially excited about the expanded program of live music, community stalls, family friendly activities and opportunities for connection across generations.

"MaccPride is all about visibility, inclusivity and joy and we can't wait to see the town come alive with colour, celebration and solidarity once again."
