Police name woman charged with murder of Macclesfield man

A woman has been charged with the murder of a Macclesfield man.

Aurin Makepeace, 42 and from Victoria Road in Prestatyn, has been charged with murder.

It comes following the death of 41-year-old Steven Rothwell, who was found at his home address on Cross Street, Macclesfield, on Tuesday, August 19.

Makepeace will appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on Friday, August 22.

A 41-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were also arrested as part of enquiries into Steven's death.

However, they have since been released without charge.
