Police have been stepping up patrols in Macclesfield Forest following reports of a flasher.
Officers from the force's Eastern Problem Solving Team have been patrolling the forest over the weekend.
This follows recent reports of a male exposing himself.
Police say this report, made on September 30, is the first report of a 'flashing' since February.
"We do not know if this is the same person who had done it previously," added a spokesperson for the force.
"We have had no further sightings since.
"Both uniformed and plain clothed officers will be patrolling the area, and if anyone see's anything suspicious please either call 101 if it's a non emergency or call 999 in an emergency, if the offender is still in the area."
The suspect has previously been described as white, possibly in his 20s to 40s, with dark hair.
Sergeant Claire Lloyd said: "While he doesn't make any attempt to approach them, it does cause them some alarm.
"Everyone has a right to feel safe when they go for a walk in the countryside.
"We will not tolerate this behaviour, and again would urge anyone who sees him to contact us immediately."
