POLICE have tackled 'inconsiderate' parking around a town centre.

Officers in Poynton have been responding to complaints regarding parking in the Chester Road and London Road areas.

Over the weekend, the local police team carried out patrols and issued advisory tickets and fixed penalty tickets to vehicles obstructing pavements.

A spokesperson for the force said: "After complaints raised by residents regarding inconsiderate parking around the town centre, predominately Chester Road and London Road North/South during the evenings.

"Over the weekend we have been monitoring these areas and your local team have issued a number of advisory tickets and fixed penalty tickets to vehicles obstructing pavements in the area.

"We will be continuing to monitor these areas and all other area's that we have received recent parking complaints."
