Unattended car stolen by 'opportunistic' thief

An 'opportunistic' thief stole a car.

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a car in Macclesfield.

At 12.10pm on Friday (December 13) a grey Toyota version was stolen from Banbury Close by a man.

Cheshire Police are now urging anyone with information or footage of what happened to get in touch.

A spokesperson for the force said: "This was an opportunistic theft whilst the vehicle had been briefly unattended.

"Cheshire Police are currently appealing for information such as CCTV, Dash Camera footage or any information to assist officers in identifying the offender.

"If you have any information please contact Cheshire Police online: https://orlo.uk/OSTsZ or via 101, quoting crime reference: 24001047192."
