Police take action to address resident's concerns with parking around Moss Rose

Police have taken action to improve parking around the Leasing.com Stadium.
The Macclesfield South Beat Team have put up notices on roads and junctions near Macclesfield FC's ground, including Moss Lane, Star Lane and London Road, reminding people to park appropriately.
This comes just weeks after local resident Adele Eedle spoke to Macclesfield Nub News to highlight her concerns with parking in the area.
Welcoming the steps taken by Cheshire Police, she said: "I am absolutely delighted!
"Hopefully this will make people think and park considerably.
"People can enjoy the football and the other activities at the ground and the residents will feel safer going about their day-to-day routines, enabling them to walk on footpaths with no obstructions.
"They no longer feel they have to 'stay at home' when the football is on, as this is what some of the elderly residents have voiced!
"It is so reassuring to know we have been listened too, to know we can all work together and communicate.
"We all want the same results. Onwards and upwards for Macclesfield FC in all areas, on the pitch and the surrounding streets!"

A lifelong resident of the Moss Rose Estate, Adele says parking has been steadily getting worse, particularly on matchdays or when the stadium is hosting large events.
Deciding enough was enough, in October 2025 she began posting photos and videos to Facebook and TikTok, highlighting some of the worst offenders.
Speaking previously, she said: "It's a fatality waiting to happen.
"Things need to start moving before these things happen.
"We can't just be waiting for that knock on the door."
