A popular Indian street food vendor has arrived in Macclesfield.

Pukht has taken up residency at the Bollington Brewery Taproom on Parker Street.

Two years since they began delighting diners at Congleton Market Quarter, Pukht will be serving up their menu of 'global favourites with an Indo-Pakistani twist' from Thursday through to Sunday every week.

Lee Wainwright, who runs Bollington Brewing with wife Kirsten, is excited to be teaming up with Pukht once again in Macclesfield now that work on renovating the kitchen has been completed.

He said: "We're extremely pleased to be growing our working relationship with Pukht.

"We started working together at CMQ and we felt they were the right fit for the brewery both with their food and their like-minded culture.

"Pukht introduced me to gyros and particularly their slow roasted lamb shawarma, which has become my go to Pukht dish, while Kirsten loves the butter halloumi club and fries."

Bollington Brewery was first established in 2005, opposite the company's first pub, The Vale Inn.

Over the past two decades they have grown to take on Macclesfield's Park Tavern and The Cask in Poynton, as well as opening new venues at The Fountain on Park Green and The Foundry at CMQ, where they first collaborated with Pukht.

In 2023 an opportunity arose to move the operation to the site of a former bakery at Brook Mill, where they have expanded production of their award-winning ales and, in autumn of last year, opened the taproom.

Pukht, meanwhile, is the brainchild of Aisha and Nick Tilstone, who started the business during lockdown.

The brand built its name trading at Hatch on Oxford Road in Manchester before establishing themselves at the heart of CMQ when it opened in 2023.

Menu highlights include gyros, tacos, burgers and burritos.

As well as serving up food at the Bollington Brewery Taproom, they plan to offer home deliveries in the local area in the coming months.
