The Rewind Festival has announced it will return this summer following last week's announcement of the roadmap out of lockdown.

The three-day 80s event is held at Capesthorne Hall near Macclesfield.

Jimmy Somerville's 'Big Band-tastic Boogie' are headlining the festival with other acts including Billy Ocean, Nik Kershaw and Marc Almond.

The event runs from over the weekend from 6-8 August when the government hopes to have lifted all social distancing requirements.

This year the Rewind opening night will be celebrating the 50th anniversary since the formation of "one of the world's greatest rock bands," Queen.

More information and tickets can be found on the festival website.
