Search is on to find Macclesfield's best chippy

The search for Macclesfield's best chippy is underway.
Tourism Board Unofficiale have launched a competition to crown the best fish and chip shop in Silktown.
Owner of the clothing brand, Thomas Broadhead, is hoping to put the age old debate to bed, whilst shining a light on the town's takeaways.
He said: "The idea came from heated discussions on local Facebook groups around what the best chippy is.
"People are passionate about their local chippy!
"Added to that, I wanted to celebrate all the chippies as a cornerstone of local culture.
"And when I saw The Fry magazine published its shortlist for top chippies in the UK without any of our beloved chippies repped, I thought we should start our own award."

Ten chip shops are in contention for the award.
That includes Upton Fish and Chips, The Mill Lane Chippy, Waters Green Fish Bar, Sun King and George's.
Also in the running are Pete's Chippy, Chan's, Silktown Fryer, Crompton Road Chippy and The Chippy @ Broken Cross.
