Second annual memorial match for beloved Macclesfield mum
A fundraising basketball match in honour of a Macclesfield mother gone too soon will take place this month.
Shelley Anne Bevan, who passed away aged just 37 in March 2022, will be honoured with a charity basketball match this June.
In June 2022, £2,150 was raised for her two children, in a charity basketball match at Reddish Vale Basketball Centre.
The same venue will host another fundraiser this month, on June 24 at 7:30pm.
The event is taking place in Stockport as she played basketball in a national league for Stockport in her youth.
Shelley attended Hurdsfield Primary School and St Alban's Catholic Primary School in Macclesfield. She later went to All Hallows' High School and Henbury High School.
Shelley worked for various companies in the Macclesfield area, such as Next Step Domiciliary Care (of Windmill Street), Sutton's The Rossendale Trust and Broughton Lodge.
She was also employed by Peatfields Day Centre on Park Lane, and raised a boy and a girl now aged 16 and 13.
Funds will go to her kids future's.
Everyone that is participating in the match will donate £10. Additionally, spectators - be it members of the public or family and friends - can also donate.
